The Youth Hope Fund is a committee of smart, talented, and driven students in the Kansas City area, dedicated to help feed, clothe, and educate kids in need around the globe. The organization provides numerous scholarships to bright students who have fought through the difficulties and adversity of poverty. Throughout the years, the Youth Hope Fund has partnered with numerous humanitarian organizations including the Ronald McDonald House, Heart-to-Heart International, and Harvesters. Yanzibian Teaching Trip

One of the Youth Hope Fund's largest annual events,​ the YanZiBian mission trip fully embodies the ideologies that the Youth Hope Fund values. Each year, over 30 student volunteers travel to China to help teach elementary and middle school students, give performances, and provide the kids with a glance into American culture. Annual Silent Auction

The annual silent auction is the Youth Hope Fund's largest fundraiser earning the organization over $2,000 each year.​ This fundraiser occurs during Chinese New Year and is always looking for more volunteers. To learn more about this fundraiser, go to our opportunities page.

Cindy Jiang
​President

Cindy Jiang is currently a senior at Pembroke Hill. She has been involved with Youth Hope Fund for about 7 years and has been involved with numerous events such as leaf raking as well as leading the canned food drive and the activity tables at the New Year Gala. She hopes to reach even more people in need and is looking forward to continuing to support her community.​

Melody Xue
​​Vice President

Melody Xue is a senior at Blue Valley High School. She has been involved with Youth Hope Fund for about 6 years and has been involved in numerous events. She hopes she can improve the community and help Youth Hope Fund gain more publicity. ​

Davis Yu
Secretary

​Davis Yu is a junior at the Pembroke Hill School. He has been part of the Youth Hope Fund for about 6 years and has been an active participant in Youth Hope fund activities. Davis Yu hopes to increase the variety of activities and causes that the Youth Hope Fund can participate in along with continuing to lead events.

Alice Chen
​Webmaster

Alice Chen is currently a junior at Pembroke Hill. She has been involved with the Youth Hope Fund for 4 years and has participated in many events, including online teaching, leaf raking, and various fundraisers. She has really enjoyed organizing meal preparation events with the Ronald McDonald House, and is excited to expand the Youth Hope Fund's outreach within her community.

Hank Rong

Hank Rong is a senior at Blue Valley Southwest. He has been involved in Youth Hope Fund for 9 years, and this is his third year as an executive board member. He has participated in numerous activities such as the teaching trip in 2019, leaf raking, baking sale, Harvesters, and St. Mary's Food Kitchen. He hopes to contribute to Youth Hope Fund this year by applying his experience in business-financials, and leading impactful events.

Isabella Lee
​​Director of Publicity

Isabella is a senior at Blue Valley Northwest. She has been involved in Youth Hope fund for 9 years now and has volunteered in numerous events. She is excited for this year and hopes to make a larger impact in the community through Youth Hope Fund.

Caroline Lee
Co-Treasurer

Caroline Lee is a senior at Blue Valley Northwest. She has volunteered with the Youth Hope Fund for 9 years and this is her second year on the executive board. Throughout the years, she has volunteered at countless fundraisers and opportunities, with her favorites being the events at the New Year Gala and the old bake sale. She is excited to continue helping create a positive impact on the community through Youth Hope Fund. 

Daphne Valenta
​​Historian

Daphne is currently a junior at Pembroke Hill. She has been an active member of the Youth Hope Fund for the past 4 years, helping at the annual leaf raking fundraiser, Wayside Waifs, and St. Mary's food kitchen. She is excited to gain more experiencing organizing events.

Cherry Huang
Junior Secretary

Cherry is a current 7th grader at Blue Valley Middle School and she is excited to take part in responsibilities of the Executive Board this year. She has participated in YHF events in the past 3 years and enjoys helping others. She enjoys playing in a band as the guitarist, reading web novels and material books, and ice skating. 

Filip Valenta
Junior Director of Publicity

Filip Valenta attends Overland Trail Middle School and is in 8th grade. He enjoys playing Tennis and playing percussion in his school band. Filip has been involved with the YHF for 5 years and continues to volunteer and help. Filip wants to keep supporting his community in any way possible.

Xuehui (Sherry) Hong
Junior Treasurer

Xuehui, who goes by Sherry, is a 10th grader at Blue Valley Northwest High. She’s been with the Youth Hope Fund for around two years and hopes to encourage more people to volunteer. She enjoys working at Harvesters and animal shelters and is excited to help organize events. 

Sophia Yu
Junior Historian

Sophia Yu is currently a freshman at Pembroke Hill. She's been in Youth Hope Fund for about 3 years and has participated in many events. She hopes to leave a positive impact on Youth Hope Fund and to have more members join.

Lucas Zhao
Junior Webmaster

Lucas Zhao is currently a freshman at Pembroke Hill. He has been involved with the Youth Hope Fund for about 3 years and has been involved with numerous events such as leaf raking and heart to heart. As webmaster, he hopes to use his knowledge to enrich the website and increase the impact of Youth Hope Fund. He would like to contribute more to the community with his peers.
